NORDSCHLEIFE

69DE-T21-180

I’m especially excited for the German GP this week. Grid is looking like it’s going to make for an awesome race, and I’m happy to see Hamilton back in the mix. Obviously Nürburbring is a shadow of it’s former self, but ya know, safety first. So here’s some really nice footage of the Nordschleife in all it’s glory at the 1969 German GP where the addition of front and rear wings was almost enough to keep the cars on the track through the Flugplatz!

Here’s a really cool clip where Sir Jackie Stewart (who famously nicknamed the track as “The Green Hell”) explains the track.

RED BULL EXPLAINS 2009 F1 RULES

This is a really cool animation presenting some of the new rules designed to make F1 a bit more exciting this season. I’m all for it, despite being pretty satisfied with the tension built during the last couple seasons, I hope these changes will help make each individual race a bit more interesting. Wish they didn’t make the rear spoiler so narrow though… Thanks for the tip Drew!

Pre Season Testing Part 3

So, 2008 was crazy and the blog got shelved for a while, but this time i think we’re gonna make it!  I’m going to be doing a lot of tweaking, building, and testing so cut us some slack!  Now if you’ll excuse me i’m going to test out embedded YouTube clips!  If this goes according to plan you should be able to take a look at Toyota doing a bit of their own tweaking and building.
